Wendy Murphy
, a victims' advocacy lawyer, is founder and director of the Victim Advocacy and Research Group, a nonprofit organization coordinating resources for rape and domestic violence victims.

The Department of Justice oversees a Violence Against Women & Family Violence (VAWFW) program that works to promote the safety of women and family members, and to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the criminal justice system's response to these crimes.

The National Crime Victim Law Institute
at Lewis & Clark College is an educational organization dedicated to promoting a fair and balanced criminal justice system through legal education, legal scholarship, legal information resources and legal advocacy.

It Happened to Alexa Foundation is an organization devoted to helping rape survivors who are going through the trauma of criminal trials.

The Innocence Project focuses on exonerating innocent people accused of crimes including rape.

End Stalking in America is and outreach group that provides legal options and support to victims of stalking, as well as potential victims and their family and friends.

International Organizations/Programs

The Commission on Status of Women
is working for gender equality in Pakistan.


Making Human Rights Real: A Legal Literacy Program for Women in Morocco , developed in partnership with 14 Moroccan women's rights organizations and development associations, contains 35 two-hour session plans (in Arabic), organized into nine thematic modules on specific concerns such as women's human rights in the family and the rights to freedom from violence and participation in public life.
