Clergy Abuse

The Survivors Network for those Abused by Priests(SNAP) is an excellent site of an activist group working to support survivors of priest abuse.

The Center for the Prevention of Domestic and Sexual Violence created a page addressing this issue called the FaithTrust Institute. It contains information about the intersection of religious issues and child abuse, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and clergy misconduct.

Clergy and Educator Abuse Survivors Empowered! (CEASE) is devoted to educating church leadership about the prevalence of clergy abuse within the denomination. Website includes information on Clergy Sexual Abuse, Spiritual Healing for Survivors of Clergy Abuse, Prevention, and more.

"In about 85 percent of
cases, sexual assaults
occur between people
who know each other."
